AXIS Dance Company Hosts Their 2 nd Annual Physically Integrated Dance Summer Intensive
August 26 - September 1, 2006
AXIS Dance Company will present its second annual Physically Integrated Dance Summer Intensive August 26 - September 1, 2006 at the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts, in Oakland, CA. AXIS along with local guest artists will teach physically integrated workshops in improvisation, technique, choreography, performance, as well as site-specific dance. The intensive will culminate with an informal performance by workshop attendees and faculty. AXIS' Summer Intensive is one of few opportunities world-wide for dancers with and without disabilities to receive professional training in this unique form of dance. Participants in last year's Summer Intensive in Seattle hosted by the University of Washington had the following to say:
